A borough in Bucks County, Pensylvania, Perkasie is located about 35 miles north of Philadelphia. Establishments in the borough in the 20th century included silk mills, baseballs, brickyards, lumber mills, title works, a stone crusher, and manufacturers of cigars, tags and labels, wire novelties, etc. In 1900, the population was 1,803, in 1910 it was 2,779, in 2010, the U.S. census population was 8,511. Located near Perkasie, the Pearl S. Buck House at Green Hills Farm is on the National Register of Historic Places. The South Perkasie Bridge was listed on the register in 1980.
