Come visit the beautiful town of Wyndmoor! Wyndmoor is located in Springfield Township and is approximately 12 miles away from Philadelphia. There is a Wyndmoor train station served by SEPTA, but it is actually located in the nearby Chestnut Hill Neighborhood of Philadelphia. Prior to receiving the name Wyndmoor, this community was called “Bungtown,” “Spring Village,” and “Tedyuscung.” There is no definitive story as to how the town got its current name. Now there are about 5,500 residents who call Wyndmoor home. It has a land area of 1.65 square miles and a population density of 3,330 people per square mile.
